It's Definitely Winter

I just have to let everyone know that I can now tell that I live in Logan, Utah. :) It is really cold outside! I usually do just fine in my apartment at night, I sleep in a t-shirt and sweatpants, but last night, it wasn't enough. I had my sweatpants, a hoodie, my microwavable heating pad, my electric heating pad and 3 blankets and I was still a little cold. Well, I got up this morning and got all ready for work and left my apartment to meet up with Liz to walk to work and it was sooooooo cold! I couldn't believe it! So I borrowed a scarf from her and I still couldn't feel my face. We finally both get to work and she texts me and tells me that it was 2 degrees outside while we were walking to school. And right now it's 14 degrees outside but it feels like 8. It is definitely winter here. And I must say that I still think that I am absolutely insane for living here. But I also found out that it is snowing in St. George and that's just weird. As long as it's not snowing this weekend when I want to come home, I will be totally ok with it! Hope everyone doesn't freeze! Dress warm! It's gonna be a cold week!

My awesome Christmas present

FINALS ARE OVER!!!

I took my last final for the fall semester today! I was so excited! It was tougher than I was expecting too. But I know I did good. It was stuff that I already knew. Next semester is gonna be rough on me. I have Structures and Functions of Crop plants, Environmental Plant Physiology, Genetics, and Entomology. I'm nervous. But luckily it is my last semester of school! That makes me super happy. I am really excited for this break though. I work all week next week (40 hours = good paycheck!) and then I get to go home for two whole weeks. SO EXCITED! YAY FOR FINALS BEING OVER!!!

I had an awesome experience tonight. About a month ago, my friend Tiffany (we call her Myrtle occasionally) started dating this guy named Tim. She brought him over one night so that I could meet him. I was a little worried about having them over because of my crazy roommate, but it wasn't too bad, she hid in her room the whole time. But I had a blast talking to Tiffany and Tim. Tim is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Well, earlier this week, I was checking my facebook, and I had an email from Tiffany inviting me to Tim's baptism. I about fell off my chair. I was so excited for him! I really like Tim. He is seriously one of the nicest genuine people I have ever met in my life. And man does he love the gospel. It was an incredible experience to be able to go tonight, not only did I feel the spirit so strongly, I feel that it strengthened my own testimony to watch someone my age get baptized. It just confirmed to me that the church is true. I already knew it was, but it's always awesome to have little things happen to help you remember why you love it so much! Tim gave me a hug as I was leaving the get-together that they had, and I almost started crying. I know that sounds silly, but I could just feel his joy and happiness radiating from him. And I felt like we were really good friends even though we hardly know each other. I am so grateful that I have the gospel in my life. It is true and I know it with all my heart. Tim's story gets even cooler. His family have been members for 2 and a half years now. His mom and dad and 9 year old sister. Tim said he wanted to learn more about the church because of how much it has helped his family. It was incredible. The spirit was so strong tonight. And Tim's dad was able to baptize and confirm him. I thought that was incredible! I love this church! I know I have said that a million times, but I do. And it is true. I hope everyone can have more experiences like I had tonight, and that I can have many more. It was amazing!

Salt Lake with Liz!

Well, my computer is actually being friendly to me tonight, so I thought I would hurry and post some new stuff before it starts acting up again. Tonight was my really good friend Carly's reception. So I went down to it. Liz went with me and we had the funnest night! After the reception, we met up with my friend Scotty and his friend Dustin at Leatherby's in Taylorsville and then went and saw the lights on Temple Square. It was a lot of fun! And absolutely gorgeous! So here are some of the pictures that I took!

My Apartment

Well as most of you know, I can't stand how messy my apartment is. Its disgusting half the time. Well today me and my roommate Angela decided that we would clean and decorate our apartment cause we were sick of it looking worse than a guys apartment. So we decorated as best as we could. It's not much but it looks tons better!

TWILIGHT

Well just so you all know, I saw the movie Twilight tonight and..well...I loved it! I thought it was great! Let me know what you all thought about it!

Pre-Twilight Jitters

So my friends and I are going to see the twilight movie tonight at 7. We are all pretty excited. Well at work today, my friend Mindi and I came across something hilarious! We found this Twilight link off of the MSN homepage where they took stills from the movie and made their own script for the scene. It is hilarious. They called it Twilight: The Lost Script. We laughed FOREVER! Here is the script that msn came up with for a picture of Bella and Edward sitting by a waterfall. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

JAMES BOND!!!

Most people that know me well know that I love James Bond movies. Well, today, I went to see the new one called Quantum of Solace. I loved it! Very intense! It's not my favorite, but definitely a good one! I'm personally a big fan of all the old ones! :) But is was me, Liz, Becky, and one of her friends named Allison that went to see it. It made us all laugh because we were in this theatre where the majority of people in there were male. Made us laugh. But we enjoyed ourselves. Me and Liz also had fun taking pictures in the back seat of Becky's car! It's been a really fun day!

Basketball!!!

My friends and I had a really fun night! We went to dinner at Formosa a Chinese restaurant and then to the USU basketball game. It was a lot of fun. My incredibly awesome friend Becky came up and went to the game with us. I am happy to report that USU won by like 20 points. It was awesome. It's kinda funny because our school is probably the meanest in the state. If a player from the other team a shoots and misses, for the rest of the game, anytime that player has the ball, our crowd will yell airball over and over again until the ball leaves that players hands. It made me laugh. I also got to hang out with my old roommates Emilie and Heather. They came and sat with us at the game. I had a lot of fun. After the game, we walked back to my house, and took a picture with my other friend Crystelle. I had a lot of fun last night! I'm excited to do more fun things today!!! So I will probably be posting more pictures tonight or tomorrow sometime!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Yesterday was Halloween and it was a lot of fun! My friends and I all went to the Howl which is pretty much the largest party ever. People from all over come to Utah State University just to go to this party. It was a blast. We got to see this band called recycled percussion and they play the drums on old buckets, and garbage cans and junk. It was amazing! Then we also got to see one of our favorite bands...Love You Long Time. It was an all around fun night. Here are some pictures of me and my friends. Heather and I went dressed as girls from the 80's. Ellen was Daphne from Scooby Doo. Her boyfriend was Fred and then her brother was Shaggy and her friend was Velma. It was awesome! They looked great! Then my friend Tiffany was Baby Spice from the Spice girls, Trevor was an apostate missionary. And Angela was a Lion. We had a blast!!! My friend Crystal and her friends came up from Provo as well. But i didnt get any pictures with them. It was definitely fun to see them though.

Fun with Friends

Last weekend I went down to Provo. It was a really fun weekend and on Saturday, I was able to spend some time with Stacy who came up from St. George. I had a lot of fun going shopping and to dinner with her. I also was able to hang out with my friend Crystal and meet her incredible roommates! It was a great and very fun weekend!!! New Hair!!

I have chopped off my hair. As most of you know, my older sister has breast cancer and will start chemo and lose her hair. I wanted to cut my hair and have a wig made for her from my hair. I tried everything. I called a few different places and it was just too expensive. So, I decided that since I couldn't give my hair to her, I would donate it to locks of love. I haven't had short hair for 4 years, so this is a little weird for me. But I love it and i'm glad that I could help someone somewhere who is in a similar situation to my sister. I love Hollie with all my heart. She is my hero. She has so much to go through and has the greatest attitude of anyone I've ever met! She truely is the most amazing person I have ever known! I love you Hollie!!! OH and today is her birthday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLIE!!! You're the best!!!
