Back to School

Well I am officially back in school in Logan. For all of you who don't know yet, I am going to start working towards going to grad school to get my masters degree in Water Wise Landscaping and Water Conservation. I am very excited. It's going to be a lot of work and big step in my life, but I am very excited and happy about the decision that I have made.

The first weekend of school, my friend Ellen and I decided that we didn't want to be in Logan and we wanted to do something fun. So we took a trip to Salt Lake and did things we had never done before. For example, I had never been to the Capitol and neither had she. We also went to Music and the Spoken Word which was incredible. Our friend Tiffany (aka Myrtle) met up with us on Saturday night. I loved it. It was a way fun weekend. We also were able to stop by and have dinner at the spaghetti factory to see our friend Heather who is a waitress there. We had a blast that weekend! It was hard to come back up and go back to class on Monday.

These pictures are all from our fun Labor Day Weekend in Salt Lake!! :D Enjoy! (oh and the pictures are small because they were copied from something else. I don't have these pictures saved on my computer yet. So they are mini versions of the pictures. Sorry if they are kind of hard to see!)

Life in California

Well I am back in Utah now. It's good and sad all at the same time. I really miss the people that I worked with and the friends that I made, but it's good to be home. While I was in Cali I got to do a lot of fun things. I went to the beach, I watched my friends water ski in the canal (total white trash I know), we went to the sequoia national forest a couple times, and it was just fun to be able to be there and do new things. I miss it a lot, but i'm ready to get back in to the swing of things with school. And finally graduate in May! YAY! so here are just a few pictures from my incredibly fun summer! I will post more in a few weeks of what it was like where I worked. At Monrovia Growers that is. :D

These are pictures of all of us when we went to Pismo Beach. Me, Liz and Jenny are in most of the pictures and then Nate is the guy. Jenny's boy Jarrod went with us, but I don't have any pictures of him. It was a blast going to the beach! I love the ocean. The water was freezing cold, but it was so worth going!

This was our incredibly fun trip to the sequoias. The second time i went was a blast and i got to see WAY more large trees! I seriously felt like a dinosaur was going to walk by because you could tell those trees had been there forever! I think the sequoias and the beach were my favorite things in California!

I will post again soon! I have a lot more pictures from my life in California! I just can't really take the time to do it today because I am moving. :)

Sequoia National Park

Well I had an incredibly fun day today. I went to the Sequoia National Park with Liz, Jenny, Brian, and Dom. It was a lot of fun. I got to see the General Sherman which is not only the largest living tree on the earth, it is also the largest living organism. It's amazing. We all really enjoyed our day! Afterwards we ate at this incredible yummy deli and then I ate the most delicious Mint Chocolate Chip Icecream i've ever had in my life. It was mighty good. I was also excited cause I got to hug a huge tree! I had a really fun day! Then we all made dinner and ate at Brians house. It was a lot of fun and it was the first time I had ever eaten at a friends house where all of us ate at the table. It was awesome! There was 13 of us. I had a great day today and it was great fun!

FUN IN CALI!

Well the girls and I decided that we wanted to take a trip to San Francisco. And oh man it was a lot of fun! We wanted to go to Alkatraz, but sadly, that didn't happen because they were all sold out. But we had a lot of fun doing other things like going around China town, and being able to go onto an old submarine (that was really cool!), we also went to the Aquarium on Pier 39. We had a lot of fun and took some fun pictures! We also celebrated Liz's 21st birthday the same week. We went and had Mexican food that was supposed to be amazing, but it wasn't as good as Kathy's. When I start taking pictures again, and doing more fun things, I will post again! So until next time...

California

Well I am officially living in California now. I live in Visalia which is kinda central Cali. I really like it here. The weather is really close to what it's like at home. I will be starting work on Monday at Monrovia Growers for the summer. It's my internship that I have to have for school. I am really excited about it. Since I was 19 and working at Lillywhite's Plant World in St. George, I have always wanted to work for this company. So this is pretty much a dream come true. They have been telling us that if they like us, they will offer us jobs for when we are finished with school. So me and my friend Liz want to give this our all. This is a great company to work for and i'm really excited for this experience. I really like Visalia. It's really confusing about how to get around, but we are doing pretty well about remembering where things are at and how to get home. Monrovia is only 15 minutes from where we are all living. I am living with an old friend of mine named Kathy. She has two beautiful fun boys Lincoln and Noah. They are a lot of fun. I am not used to waking up as early as little kids so that has been a lot of fun to get used to. I am loving it here. The people we have met so far are great! Especially Elizabeth and Brenden Wilson. They are the couple that Liz and Jenny are living with. This is going to be a great summer! On our way here, we stopped in Vegas and walked around for a couple hours and it was a lot of fun! I will post more pictures when I take some more! I am excited for this summer! I'll keep everyone posted on what's going on!
